My four-day digital sabbatical in the city split by two continents meant:
- being woken every morning by the Adhan
- being kept awake at night by the barking dogs
- exploring the Blue Mosque / Basilica Cistern
- eating amazing food at 360
- practising my Türkçe Bilmiyorum
- spending some cherished time with a special someone
The above is the view from the flat where I stayed.
500 people drawing over the previous persons line.
I want to see this.
“There has never been a better time to be an artist.”
Seth Godin (on how the internet / social media has changed everything)
Which means the only excuse now (for not trying), is you…
Inspired by other standup desks seen on the interwebs. Simply took my unused computer table and shoved an old IKEA self-assembled-free-standing-storage-type-shelves underneath. Low and behold a perfect height.
Looking forward to the next few days trying it out.
Loving this as well:
“Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness.”
It doesn’t matter that it’s a new year or that we’ve achieved / failed things in the past one, what is of importance is:
So, be happy.
Happy Festive season folks, wherever / whoever / whatever you are!
See you all in 2011…
I am here with you now.
I am here.
We’re in each others gaze.
We’re in each others arms.
We’re in each others heart.
We feel the warmth of our lips before the touch.
Hands in hair.
On our faces.
We match each other in sighs and nothing matters but this moment.
The light fractures in… my focus aligns as my eyes reopen.
You were there.
