Heading Stateside

stateside

I’m heading stateside to New York and Philadelphia for a few days (tad nervous as I’m not a big fan of cities or loads of people—honoured to have the means and opportunity though).

Memory Overkill

memory

1 terabyte (for main backup as my existing 320 gigabyte is nearly full), 320 gigabyte (about the size of a A5 moleskine and will be used for when I’m traveling) and 8 gigabyte (to beef up my new HD cam).

The alleged computer on board Apollo 11 had 32k of memory—the equivalent of a simple calculator.

Liberation explores a great quote by Jorgen Leth on limitations and imagination.

Shot on my new Samsung VP-HMX20C HD using the macro mode it’s my first ever creative endeavour (and first upload to vimeo—be nice).

Music also by me via Garageband—feel free to comment as I need to learn…

The Light Ages

light ages

The Dark Ages were defined by “a lack of contemporary written history, general demographic decline, limited building activity and material cultural achievements in general” (source).

Does that mean we know are living in the Light Ages?

No matter how tired / rough / sad / lonesome / grumpy etc I feel, this never fails to create a smile…

Mashed Up Tunes

mashed up toons

A deleted scene from one of my favourite films:

An audio book of a classic horror:

Some cool guys rap vocals:

A mashup of two poets I admire, the one the author and the other the reader:

All created in Garageband, starting with only the vocal audio.

I should do more as I really enjoy putting them together…
