Had a fantastic time meeting old and new friends in New York and Philly.

I’m heading stateside to New York and Philadelphia for a few days (tad nervous as I’m not a big fan of cities or loads of people—honoured to have the means and opportunity though).

1 terabyte (for main backup as my existing 320 gigabyte is nearly full), 320 gigabyte (about the size of a A5 moleskine and will be used for when I’m traveling) and 8 gigabyte (to beef up my new HD cam).
The alleged computer on board Apollo 11 had 32k of memory—the equivalent of a simple calculator.

Shot on my new Samsung VP-HMX20C HD using the macro mode it’s my first ever creative endeavour (and first upload to vimeo—be nice).
Music also by me via Garageband—feel free to comment as I need to learn…

Widescreen, check. High Definition, check. Internal hard drive, check. Filter options, check. External mic input, check. Looks the biz, check.
Look out Hillman, here I come…

On the train home from London someone had decided to add a little life to the back of the armrest. Made me smile, especially when the person in front started to move it.
1. one well-chosen song
2. crazy and creative students
3. at least one professor
4. on-campus production at your own university
5. not a single cut…
6. a lot of fun!

No matter how tired / rough / sad / lonesome / grumpy etc I feel, this never fails to create a smile…
(I used to be a ‘greaser’ when I was in my teens!)

A deleted scene from one of my favourite films:
An audio book of a classic horror:
Some cool guys rap vocals:
A mashup of two poets I admire, the one the author and the other the reader:
All created in Garageband, starting with only the vocal audio.
I should do more as I really enjoy putting them together…
Currently working up a script for a film short inspired by the work of the fantabulous Hillman Curtis.
Even Hillman was at a stage in his life where he had never written a script before… that’s a comforting and influential thought for us all as we pursue new creative endeavours.
